HISTORY
Keres was once an ordinary Umbrae amongst those who wished to rebel against Darkness and fight for power over The Shadows. Determined to gain enough strength to cripple Darkness and take control, this shadow decided to try and find the realm’s core and take it for themselves. After many centuries of appearing loyal and searching for the core, Keres eventually found it. Little did they know that coming into contact with it would doom them for eternity.

The Shadow’s Realm core, like many others, has its own defense mechanism. Only its owners can touch and manipulate it. If an outsider touches it, their soul is put through an insurmountable level of pain before being wiped from existence.
However, with this Umbrae’s age and strength of will, they managed to fight against it. It caused them more pain than any would experience, corrupting their soul rather than destroying it. Keres’ soul was twisted and cursed by the core, and they was soon doomed to become a monster, one that could destroy everything in its path and even pose a threat to death himself.
They attacked the Shadows, the soul it once was now trapped for eternity. The creature had a mind of its own and destroyed part of the realm before Darkness interceded. Due to its connection with the realm’s core, it can only be controlled by its owner. Darkness would’ve liked to keep it. However, it was an abomination, an insult to the balance of nature, and he was forced to lock it away forever.

The creature passed into legend among the Shadows and any who heard of its power.
However, now that the Superiors have the realm for themselves, they released the creature, using it to defend themselves from Darkness and anyone who threatened to take The Shadows from them. They abuse its power and strength, causing the balance of nature to tip.

The Superiors aren’t only a threat to Darkness. They are a threat to everything, for this creature has the power to destroy realms.

PERSONALITY
​
What remains of their personality is the bitter hate they feel for their unfortunate circumstance. Frustrated with life in the Shadows and despising both Darkness and the Superiors for subjecting them to a life of lonliness and pain, Keres is unforgiving and merciless with their victims. Reasoning with this creature is an impossibility as you would even have time to stop and chat. In their Umbranian form they rarely talk to others, however if you came across them, you would witness the bitterness of their tongue as they insulted you or completely shut down the conversation. Despite how strongly they feel hate, Keres is a very solitary creature, maintain a shyness that juxtaposes the confrontational monster they become when in their true form. They fear so much that they've become numbed by it, focusing on the fear of others. However, deep down they also have a relentless determination to rid themselves of the realm core's curse, trying desperately to be free from the monster they're forced to become. They will do anything to break free from the control of the realm's owner, making them ruthless and sporadically unpredictable.

The Uxshurra is a Umbranian create that has the ability to transform in to a hideous creature of darkness; a thick cloud of black smoke with an obscured face, its glowing white eyes being the only visible feature. Armed with poisonous talons, they can manifest up to four long arms. If scratched, the victim will devolve into a dark thick substance, causing them an indescribable amount of pain before they die. Its victims souls can only be sent to Nihil, the void realm, and are unable to go to Heaven, Hell or the Realm of Lost souls. If its victims look into its eyes they are crippled by their worst fears, making it easy for the Uxshurra to destroy them
Transformation Description
From their Umbranian vessel, the Uxshurra's skin breaks apart, black smoke rising from cracked as their head twists around, morphing into a horrifying creature with razor sharp black teeth and deadly glowing eyes that replicate the glow of a realm core. Multiple arms tear their way from grey-surface skin as the bones of their spine tear through the skin, leaving a trail of razor sharp bones down their back.
